In our 5th news recap we bring you exciting news about Teslas rise on car delivery management. In the second quarter of 2023, Tesla surpassed expectations, making a noteworthy announcement that it had manufactured nearly 480,000 vehicles and successfully delivered over 466,000 units.

The primary focus of production and deliveries remained on the popular Model 3 sedan and Model Y crossover. With an impressive 460,211 units produced and 446,915 units delivered.

Additionally, the electric car manufacturer produced 19,489 units of the higher-priced Model X and Model S. Out of which 19,225 were delivered.

This surge in deliveries marked a record for the company, though it was widely anticipated by industry experts. Wall Street had previously estimated approximately 447,000 deliveries, a prediction that was confirmed by analyst Ives.

Earlier in April, Tesla had made its fifth price cut since January, reducing costs by 2% to nearly 6%. This move came amidst expectations of limited electric vehicle tax credits in the United States.

Comparing the figures to the same period in the previous year, the growth was substantial. In the second quarter of 2022, Tesla reported 254,695 deliveries and produced 258,580 units.

In the first quarter of 2023, Tesla had manufactured around 441,000 vehicles and delivered approximately 423,000 units.

Looking ahead, Tesla has set an ambitious target of achieving 1.8 million deliveries for the entire year, as reported by Reuters.
